Oh, Those Beautiful Badlands!
Summer in the North Dakota Badlands is not always vibrant green, but this year it is! Thanks to Brittany Green for sharing her photos of a recent trip through the south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park.

Badlands Bison
The bison which reside in both the south and north units of Theodore Roosevelt National Park are a major attraction! Watching large herds graze in the park makes one wonder what the countryside looked like 200 years ago, when it was reported bison covered the landscape to the horizon, and beyond. Millions and Millions of Bison!
Our bison encounter in the north unit brought home the fact that this was their territory, not ours! Check out this link: We Woke Up In a Buffalo Herd!
Special Thanks!
A special shout out of Thanks! goes to Brittany Green for sharing her summer badlands photos!
