Event FAQs
How do I enter?
Contact us for your entry form and return it via email to akillian@nd.gov by 5:00p.m. MST on Saturday, November 12, 2022.
Can I enter virtually?
Due to the continued presence of COVID-19 and the hubbub of holiday travel, we understand that some people may want to keep their creations closer to home. For your entry to be considered valid for virtual competition, you must take clear photos of your creation and email them to akillian@nd.gov with the required information. Further instruction is in the entry form.
Can I enter with a friend?
Yes! You are welcome to collaborate. Just circle "Team Entry" on your entry form.
Is there a theme this year?
Just like years past, the theme of your creation is up to you. You are welcome and encouraged to think outside the box and uniquely design your entry for the 2022 competition.
Does the whole piece have to be made entirely of gingerbread?
We require that your creation as a whole be at least 75% edible. Your main structure must be at least 50% gingerbread. Your base is considered separate and should be made of plywood. Further instructions are in the entry form.
How do I vote?
To vote in person, you can visit the Chateau de Mores Interpretive Center on December 02-04, 2022, or you can vote virtually via Facebook on those same dates. Every like, share, and comment is considered a vote, so vote well and often. Ask your friends to do the same!
Still have questions? Call us at 701-623-4355 or message us here!
