The Medora Musical is the rootin'-tootinest, boot-scootinest show in all the Midwest. There's no other show quite like it. It's an ode to patriotism and Theodore Roosevelt, read on to learn more about the Greatest Show in the West...

The Medora Musical is North Dakota's oldest family tradition!

Events / Things To Do / Things To Do North Dakota

Medora Public Fossil Dig (Full Days)

Public · 8 instances · 68 people · by NDGS Paleontology

Tuesday, 18-20,  June 2019 from 07:30-17:00 MDT

Medora, North Dakota

This dig is co-sponsored by the North Dakota Geological Survey and the Theodore Roosevelt Medora Foundation. After dinosaurs went extinct, crocodiles became the dominant predator in North Dakota, and the environment turned swampy. In Medora, we will be digging in Sentinel Butte Formation rocks, 55-60 million years old. This site is rich in a variety of swamp denizens, including crocodiles, giant salamanders, fish, champsosaurs, clams, snails, and more. The rugged badlands in the nearby Theodore Roosevelt National Park may also be a draw for those not interested in digging in the dirt.

Daily registration cost will be $25 per person. Registration starts Saturday, February 2nd, 2019 at 10:00 AM (Central Time). To register visit 2019ndgspaleodigs.eventbrite.com

Ages 13 and up.

This event is often utilized to showcase a new product line, celebrate a grand opening or anniversary, or to boost your business presence within the community.

This event is held on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, so as to provide a sense of exclusivity and excitement about our host’s business. Each business will be encouraged to present a theme, as well as refreshments and fun for their scheduled time.
