The Beautiful Badlands ND
The history and culture of the region are shaped by its terrain, which is why it is still called The Beautiful Badlands ND. Ranchers produce cattle, families explore together, mountain bikers ride the Maah Daah Hey trail, hikers marvel at the rugged terrain of the Badlands, and photographers seek the beauty of the region.
What We Do
We’re mild-mannered explorers, two photographers in love with western North Dakota where we see so much beauty. Beautiful Badlands ND grew out of our love for the region and the desire to share the opportunities that are open to everyone. Our thrill is to connect local spots or events, communities or cultures with others who haven’t visited the region.
Mary (Mary’s Photos) and Mike (Mykuhls Photography) capture and share images of their exploits hiking, camping, exploring and enjoying the Beautiful Badlands of North Dakota. We encourage others to see the beauty of the Beautiful Badlands ND to share their images with us. Our images as canvas wraps and framed prints have displayed the Beautiful Badlands ND in Dickinson, Bismarck, Watford City, Williston, Minot and Mayville where many of them have sold (Hooray!).
