Find Out Friday

Find out Friday: How do I find a schedule of events in western North Dakota?

How do I find events in western North Dakota?

Frustrated people want to know. Covering and writing about western North Dakota, we asked people how do I find events in western North Dakota?  No one had an answer, so we made the answer.

There are a lot of activities going on in all the communities, especially as Christmas rolls around.  They are miles apart, so it’s not easy to find one source.  There is one source available, and we’ll give you the key to that in “The New Way.” You can jump right to it.

The Old Way

First, here’s what used to be the system to find events in western North Dakota:

You can google the town and the word “events.”  So, you would type in a google search box “Dickinson Events.”

You can google the word “visit” and follow it with “Williston,” “Dickinson,” or “Watford City.”

Here’s an example for Visit Williston.

That’s a lot of work, though. One, by one, by one…until you get tired of the tedious effort.

The New Way

The best way is the exhaustive calendar on Beautiful Badlands ND.  Every week, new items are added and posted not only on the website but on social media links such as Facebook.  Here’s the link:

 Things to do

There is no better calendar to find events in western North Dakota, and new events are added every week. The individual communities are scanned for new events they have posted and then they are added to the Beautiful Badlands ND “Things to Do” page.

Try it. You’ll like it.

Be sure to let us know if we missed your event. We’ll add it!
