Theodore Roosevelt National Park is nestled along the history rich Little Missouri River which cuts through the North Dakota Badlands and the largest national grassland in the United States, the Little Missouri National Grasslands. South of Watford City, and about seventy five miles north of the South Unit near Medora, this rugged area is home to bison, big horn sheep, deer, and Texas Long Horns!

Beautiful and underrated park!
Ashley, you are absolutely right. The entire region is undersold. But of course, those of us who use the region for recreation don't mind having it all to ourselves. Yeah, selfish, I know.
